New Year, New Me? Maybe aye, probably naw! Wednesday 13 January 2021, Day 304.

Ain't about how fast I get there, Ain't about what's waiting on the other side, It's the climb!

Gee wasn’t it a surprise that 2021 started with a lockdown, despite this I am trying my best to remain positive, optimistic, motivated and behave like a responsible mature adult and not my shoe size as someone said to me recently!

How mature is it say that to someone, but my response wasn’t any better , “yea well at least I can get decent shoes no like you, hobbit feet!”, “I’ve no got Hobbit feet take it back”, “Naw”, “Take it back”, “Naw make me” five minutes of being in a headlock and getting swung about I took it back. Maybe being a responsible mature adult is not for me, but I’ll work on it.

I didn’t make any NY resolutions there was no point. I know from previous experience and uncertainty around how this year will pan out, I won’t stick to them.

Why at the start of a year do we add in fad diets, unrealistic exercise goals and aim to read the classics so when someone mentions they read Catcher in the Rye, you don’t reply “sports books are no my thing”. My New Year started with two square slice on crispy rolls, washed down with Irn Bru, feet up reading “This is going to Hurt” so any resolutions were out the window on day one.

To sum up the year I asked myself the following questions:

What will you remember 2020 for? - Bulk buying leggings.

What worked great this year? - Leggings.

What are you proud of? – Not wearing white pants under black leggings.

What was your biggest challenge? Throwing away my comfiest leggings.

What did you learn about yourself? – I hate leggings.

You know I really do hate leggings, so I am going to make a New Year resolution never to wear a pair again. Damn guess I better start on that diet and sign up for the Jiggly joggers if I want to wear anything else!

Wising you all a healthy and happy 2021.
